Custom designed fire pits can be constructed of expanded metal, flat strap and round rod or they can be constructed of 10 Ga. steel and made in a hexagon with metal relief cuts.

ROCKET STOVES

A rocket stove is an efficient and hot burning stove using small-diameter wood fuel. Fuel is burned in a simple combustion chamber containing an insulated vertical chimney, which ensures almost complete combustion prior to the flames reaching the cooking surface. It uses the same principle as the Dakota fire pit. Rocket stove designs are most often used for portable stoves for cooking but the design is also used to make rocket mass heaters for heating. These stoves are smokeless and use very little wood or pellets.

Custom made Rocket Stove.

This stove included heating fins for potatoes or vegetables, the owners name, and two wildlife designs. Atop the stove is an 18" cowboy wok with a 2" rim and a metal lid with a 1" lip. One stove can be used to prepare an entire meal with only a handful of wood.

Additional: you can buy a cover which can be used to cook or warm your food.
